Flashaholics Gathering

No, not flashaholics as in crazy freaks who flash their tiny tool trying to act big, but flashaholics as in people who have an unusual fascination for big, small, bright, expensive flashlights. Call it crazy, call it weird, but hell, i'm one of them.

I got myslef into the whole flashaholics craze when i bought my first powered china light for rm90. Well, being a cheaply made china light, naturally, it broke lol...

Then i decided to get myself a proper powered light which costed me rm160(and also getting screwed by my mom when she found out).

It was an EagleTac P100A2. What made this light worth it? Well, it runs on regular AA and is SO DAMN FREAKIN BRIGHT!

Don't believe me? Check out this super cool beamshot.

Its so bright, it could be used as a self defense weapon! Temporarily blind ur attacker, then using the light to melee the poor guy to death, or just take the easy way out and RUN!

My light is consider nothing compared to the lights that was at the gathering.

Back to the gathering.

Left for the gathering at 830pm, reached Centrepoint at 9pm, just in time.

6k worth of lights anybody?

Its amazing how much lights costs these days. The hugeass red one you see in the back there alone already set you back 2.6k, and thats just the lights alone. It uses 4 pieces of 18650 Lithium-ion batteries(those are the same type used in ur phone, mind you!) which will set you back at rm45 per piece and an extra RM70 for the charger.

But DAMN is it BRIGHT!!!

Check this out man, super cool shit, literally a wall of light. These lights are those type of lights that will make a robber pee in his pants when you shine this at him.

Walkway To Heaven

And no, that shot ain't overexposed at all, it REALLY IS THAT BRIGHT!!

If you think only huge lights can produce, lets talk about small lights. REAL small lights.

Introducing the Lummi Wee. It is so small, it can be used as a necklace.

Don't underestimate this small little bugger. Though it may be small, but its bright enough to temporarily blind you!

Sitting down at the mamak and looking at the lights was freakin boring, after an hour or 2, we decided to head down to a lake in Kelana Jaya to test out the powderfulness of the lights.

The lake was at least 200m wide, perfect place for us to test out the throw of the lights. Throw means the ability of the light to reach a far away distance. Managed to get a few cool beamshots there.

Battery powered lights ROCK!

Played with the lights at the lake for nearly an hour, most of us was feeling hungry. Before we end the session, we went for another round of mamak to fill our stomachs, at 1am in the morning.

Well, it was a pretty nice experience. Got to hold in my hand and experience first hand a rm2.6k light and also get to learn to not judge a book by its cover, in the case of the Lummi Wee.

Looking forward to the next gathering!

Powerball anybody?
